Beyond the stage, Indigenous Enterprise creates documentary, scripted, cultural, and branded films shaped by Indigenous artists, families, communities, and lived experience.
OUR APPROACH
Indigenous Enterprise began as a dance company, but storytelling has always been at the center of the work. Film gives us another way to preserve memory, challenge stereotypes, document our communities, and create characters and stories that rarely get to exist on screen with depth.
Our goal is not simply to appear in media. It is to create it, direct it, produce it, and build a body of work where Indigenous people define how our stories are told.

DOCUMENTARY
Still Here is a short documentary directed by Carlos Jaramillo and Kenneth Shirley. Centered on Kenneth’s grandmother, Nellie Shirley, the film explores boarding-school history, language suppression, family memory, and the cultural knowledge that survives across generations.
At its heart, the film is about continuity: what our ancestors protected, what our elders carried, and what the next generation chooses to keep alive.

ORIGINAL SCRIPTED SERIES
Set on the fictional Anyo Nation in southern Arizona, Borders follows Damion, an aspiring musician pulled into a dangerous conflict involving his family, federal agents, cartel networks, and corruption on tribal land.
The series combines a chase thriller with an Indigenous coming-of-age story, exploring sovereignty, survival, family, identity, and the choices that shape a young person’s future. The pilot premiered to a sold-out hometown audience in Phoenix in 2026.
